Beginning January 1, 2018, club charter applications will only be accepted online via MyLCI. This change will expedite the club chartering process and is in accordance with board policy adopted in October 2016.

Student Member Program

Student Member Program

Young leaders represent the future of Lions Clubs International. They bring new energy, inspire fresh ideas for service and provide increased support for local and international projects.

So, we've made it easy to get students involved.

Students enrolled in an educational institution and between the age of legal majority and through age 30 pay only half international dues (US$21.50) and are exempt of any entrance fees when they join any Lions club. Club secretaries may complete certification online using MyLCI, or submit the paper certification form with the monthly membership report or club charter application.

Special Extended Billing Adjustment Period

Start a Campus Lions club and receive an extended billing adjustment period for the semi-annual billing. Campus clubs now have through March 31 for the January dues billing and through September 30 for the July dues billing to amend the club roster. Lions Clubs International will give credits to campus clubs for roster adjustments submitted within this time period without penalty.

Dues Required at the Time of Charter

In the case of a newly chartered campus club, or a club with a majority of student members, each charter member who qualifies for the Student Member Program is required to prepay one year international dues at the student member rate. Such dues must be submitted with the club charter application. Once the club is established, prepayment of dues is not required.
